The Art of The Harlem Renaissance
Much like the music of the Harlem Renaissance, the art of this cultural movement had artists that painted a rich variety of interpretations about African-American culture and heritage.
However, in spite of the differences in the style (the way that painted things) or medium (what they painted with i.e. watercolor, oil paint, pencil, etc.), there were similar themes that unite them as Harlem Renaissance artists. Are you able to see past these differences and recognize one of the themes that unites them?
